Fishing Gone?

Fishing Gone?
This  old boat was left for the next fishing adventure - but time had it's way instead.
Fishing is gone for now - will anyone find
the boat and help it find new adventures?

Abandoned

There once was a marvelous encampment of buildings out in the Park Rapids area that was home to artisans of all kinds. The setting was absolutely soothing and dream-like - at least to this person who was used to kids and their "enthusiasms."

Now the site has abandoned its mission of old. Here is how I visualize it having weathered through the years.

Home is a Backpack

Home is a Backpack
Just put this acrylic painting into a show at the
Hjemkomst Center gallery - a show sponsored
by the FM Visual Artists - of which I am a
proud member. Show runs through the first week
of June - take time to see it!

This fellow is a frequent "traveler" on the streets
of Fargo and through the skyways. I always wonder
just what kind of "reception" he gets from his
"neighbors."

Treeline

How many treelines out on our open prairies have we seen? Dividing fields, surrounding farmsteads, protecting buildings. At one of colorful Minnesota/Dakota sunsets,if you look carefully at treelines, they take on a rainbow of color - just like in the painting below.  (Image 9 x 21 inches; matted 12 x 26 inch, acrylic on paper)

Fall in Downtown Moorhead, MN - just behind Usher's Restaurant where the Red River winds its way north. It was a warm day of soft breezes -and a perfect spot to compose a picture for a painting.

Bertha Farm Home

This is a farm home of a best friend from high school days. We reconnected through a 2017 school reunion. She had a photo of that farm just as spring was peeking around the corner and I painted it for her. It was a special treat to remember the good times we had.
